The Predict family

Different measurements. One view of your machines.

Seven devices in development for vibration, current, pressure, heat, ultrasound, oil and automatic lubrication. Each has a defined role in the Predict maintenance workflow.

VibNode is in development. The six additional devices are concept designs, not built or tested yet. Pictures show product concepts.

Vibration + temperature

VibNode

A wireless node for motors, pumps, fans and gearboxes. It brings vibration and temperature trends into Predict for condition review.

Intended applications

  • Bearing condition
  • Imbalance and looseness
  • Changes in running temperature
Power
Battery
Connection concept
Wireless to the site gateway

The first device in the family. Hardware measurement and mounting tests are still required.

CurrentNode concept render with three split-core current clamps connected to a dark node with a teal band

Concept design

Motor current

CurrentNode

Split-core clamps measure motor current for load and phase comparison, without putting a sensor on the moving machine.

Intended applications

  • Load changes and jams
  • Phase imbalance
  • Dry running or broken-belt indications

Wireless to the site gateway

Current monitoring; voltage and true energy consumption are outside this concept.

PressureNode concept render with two stainless pressure sensors connected either side of a filter housing
Engineering model render from Autodesk Fusion. Concept design, not a photograph.
Concept design

Pressure + differential trends

PressureNode

Two pressure inputs support pressure and filter-differential trends in selected hydraulic, water or compressed-air applications.

Intended applications

  • Filter pressure difference
  • Pressure loss and leaks
  • Pump and process changes

Wireless to the site gateway

Sensor range, process connection and fluid compatibility are selected for each application.

ThermoScan concept render, a fixed dark thermal camera with a teal band, mounting bracket and network cable
Engineering model render from Autodesk Fusion. Concept design, not a photograph.
Concept design

Fixed thermal imaging

ThermoScan

A thermal camera compares the same inspection areas over time, including electrical connections and machine surfaces.

Intended applications

  • Electrical connection hotspots
  • Changing equipment heat patterns
  • Motor, bearing and roller temperatures
Power
Wired Power over Ethernet (PoE)
Connection concept
Site network to Predict

Power and data use a network cable. ThermoScan is not a battery or Bluetooth node.

AcousticNode concept render with a contact ultrasound sensor fitted to a bearing housing
Engineering model render from Autodesk Fusion. Concept design, not a photograph.
Concept design

Contact + airborne ultrasound

AcousticNode

Contact and airborne ultrasound measurements support review of bearing lubrication, bearing condition and selected air or steam leaks.

Intended applications

  • Lubrication condition
  • Bearing ultrasound changes
  • Air and steam leak surveys
Power
Battery
Connection concept
Wireless to the site gateway

Measurement method, coupling and interpretation need validation on the selected equipment.

OilNode concept render on a gearbox with an oil level probe, sight glass and magnetic drain-plug sensor
Engineering model render from Autodesk Fusion. Concept design, not a photograph.
Concept design

Oil level + condition trends

OilNode

A gearbox-focused concept for oil level, temperature, changes in oil condition and a wear-debris indication.

Intended applications

  • Low oil and level changes
  • Oil condition trends
  • Wear-debris build-up
Power
Battery
Connection concept
Wireless to the site gateway

Trend information supports inspection and oil sampling. It does not replace laboratory oil analysis.

GreaseNode concept render with a clear grease cartridge and powered lubricator connected to a bearing and ultrasound sensor
Engineering model render from Autodesk Fusion. Concept design, not a photograph.
Concept design

Automatic lubrication

GreaseNode

A 24 V automatic lubricator designed to add grease using AcousticNode ultrasound feedback and the Predict workflow, within configured dose limits.

Intended applications

  • Condition-guided grease doses
  • Configured limits and fault lockouts
  • Recorded lubrication activity
Power
Wired 24 V controller
Connection concept
AcousticNode / Predict control integration

An engineer approves the setup. Dose limits, stale-data inhibits and manual lockout require validation before operation.

Intended applications describe the design aim. Detection performance, battery life, radio range and final ratings will be published after testing.

Sapien Tech branded site gateway enclosure concept
Supporting gateway concept
The connection layer

A gateway for the wireless nodes.

VibNode and the four battery sensor extensions are planned to report through a site gateway. First trials use a commercial gateway, with compatibility and coverage checked for each site.

ThermoScan uses wired PoE and the site network. GreaseNode has a wired 24 V controller with a separate control interface. These devices do not all use the same power or data connection.

The Predict workflow

From a measurement to a planned job.

A shared asset history, with the source of each reading kept clear.

01 · MEASURE

Know the source

Identify the device, machine, measuring point and condition being observed.

02 · CONNECT

Bring it together

A gateway or the site network delivers data through the agreed interface.

Separate development project

BeltWatch · conveyor tracking

A conveyor belt-tracking concept, alongside the seven-device family. The current approach studies protected optical edge sensing at the underside or return path, with continuous local monitoring from a 24 V supply.

Optional reporting could bring tracking trends into Predict. Sensing geometry and dynamic tests come first. BeltWatch is not presented as automatic belt steering or a safety interlock.

Practical questions

Before a monitoring trial.

Are all seven devices available now?

No. VibNode remains in development and the other six are concept designs. We will share availability once the relevant prototypes and measurements are tested.

Can I start with one device type?

Yes. The starting point is the equipment and the maintenance question. Other device types can be considered as the application and interfaces develop.

Does every device use a battery?

No. VibNode, CurrentNode, PressureNode, AcousticNode and OilNode use a battery concept. ThermoScan is wired PoE and GreaseNode uses a wired 24 V controller.

Does GreaseNode only send an alert?

No. It is an automatic lubrication concept that adds controlled grease doses. The design includes configured limits and fault inhibits; an engineer must approve and validate the installation before operation.

Is the public dashboard live device data?

The public demo uses simulated data. The customer portal is a separate sign-in for a customer's own assigned equipment and reporting devices.
